About Dr. John B. Rowe

Dr. John B. Rowe is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, since 1978. He has practiced pastoral counseling and psychotherapy since 1989. A Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors, Dr. Rowe is also licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). In 1990, Dr. Rowe received his Masters in Pastoral Counseling from Wake Forest University, and in 2006, he received his doctorate in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. An Approved Supervisor in the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, Dr. Rowe enjoys mentoring graduate students and others seeking to become counselors and psychotherapists.

Dr. Rowe lives in the NoDa area of Charlotte with his dog Theo, who often comes to work with him as an assistant therapist. Dr. Rowe enjoys bicycling, swimming, reading, cooking, and the movies; and he enjoys spending as much time in the mountains of North Carolina as possible.
